Frequently Asked Questions
Why are the maximum values in the graph different from the maximums in the report?
This is due to filtering. The more filtered the signal, the smoother the peaks are, so the maximums decrease. For a more detailed explanation, follow this link.
How do I increase the number of decimal places shown for power (e.g., 10.5 HP → 10.53 HP)?
To increase (or decrease) the number of decimal places, go to Options → Configuration → Channels. There, look for the channels you want to modify. The value to change is "Decimal Precision". Be sure to modify the entire group of channels at the same time. For example, if you want to modify Power, also modify Corrected Power, Wheel Power, Power Loss, and you probably also want to change the torque values.
¿How can I export the report or graphics to PDF or image format?
Although Accudyno does not have a specific command to export to PDF, it is very easy to generate it using external programs.
PDF file generation:
-
Using Windows PDF virtual printer:
- Open the report or graph you want to export
- Go to File → Print (or press Ctrl+P)
- Select "Microsoft Print to PDF" as printer
- Choose the desired settings (orientation, size, etc.)
- Click "Print" and select where to save the PDF file
-
Using third-party programs:
- Install a free application such as PDF Creator, CutePDF or Bullzip PDF Printer
- These programs add an additional virtual printer with more options
- Follow the same printing procedure, selecting the new virtual printer
Screenshots:
-
Full screen captures:
- Press the Print Screen key to copy the entire screen
- Open Paint, Word, Whatsapp Web or any image editor and paste with Ctrl+V
- You can also use the Win+Print Screen combination to automatically save the capture in the "Pictures/Screenshots" folder
-
Capturing a specific window:
- Click on the window you want to capture to activate it
- Press Alt+Print Screen to copy only that window
- Paste the image into the program of your choice, for example in a Whatsapp Web chat
-
Windows Snipping Tool:
- Search for "Snipping Tool" in the start menu
- This tool allows you to select exactly the area you want to capture
- You can also use the quick method Win+Shift+S to activate the snipping tool
After obtaining your capture, you can save it as JPG, PNG or other image format according to your needs.
I suspect my atmospheric station is inaccurate. How can I verify it?
Atmospheric sensors (temperature, humidity, and pressure) can degrade over time, especially in environments with gases or hydrocarbons, such as engine test cells. If you suspect your atmospheric station is giving inaccurate readings, the best approach is to compare it with a reliable reference station.
If you don’t have access to another station, you can check online weather data using an app or website. However, keep in mind:
- Online data may have delays of several minutes or even hours.
- It may not reflect your exact location, especially in remote areas.
- Many sources report sea level corrected pressure, not the absolute pressure required by the Accudyno system.
A reliable alternative is our Online Correction Factor Calculator, which shows absolute pressure with hourly updates by city.
In Argentina, the Servicio Meteorológico Nacional also provides hourly updated data with absolute pressure and indicates the distance to the measurement station.
In contrast, weather services in countries like the United States or Chile often display relative pressure, which is not suitable for comparison with Accudyno.
