PRO Auxiliary Inputs
Auxiliary inputs 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
Auxiliary inputs that can be connected to Accudyno's analog inputs. They can also be used to provide special digital inputs such as other load cell inputs or thermocouple inputs.
NO CONNECTION
The connector pins are not connected. To use any of the auxiliary channels, you will need a signal conditioning module or you can make the internal connections yourself, following the specifications indicated here.
Number | Function | Range |
---|---|---|
1 | VCC | +5V for the sensor |
2 | GND | 0V |
3 | Signal | 0..5V |
4 | Other | Other function |
Connector Type
The Accudyno system uses Molex Mini-fit
connectors with 4.2mm pitch, 2x2 (4 pins in 2 rows).
This is the pinout of the modules sold by Accudyno. In the case of the Thermocouple module or the secondary Torque module, these are digital modules that must be programmed in the Accudyno interface firmware.
For the Pressure and NTC modules, the internal circuit is provided here and they can be easily implemented by the user.
Name | PIN 1 | PIN 2 | PIN 3 | PIN 4 |
---|---|---|---|---|
Pressure Module | +5V | GND | Signal | N/C |
NTC Module | N/C | NTC 1 | NTC 2 | N/C |
Thermocouple Module | N/C | N/C | TC(+) | TC(-) |
Recommendation | +5V | GND | Signal | N/C |
Input connections on the board
This is the order of the auxiliary inputs, along with the internal connection port label on the board. The corresponding calibration channel number in the software is also indicated. In the software, the configuration should be assigned to that signal and calibrated at that signal number.
AUX Number | On Board | Signal No. in Software |
---|---|---|
AUX2 | P7 | 6 |
AUX3 | P9 | 7 |
AUX4 | P11 | 8 |
AUX5 | P13 | 21 |
AUX6 | P14 | 22 |
0 to 5V analog input
The connection of analog sensors such as pressure sensors can be made by soldering only 3 internal bridges.
Number | Function | Range |
---|---|---|
1 | VCC | +5V for the sensor |
2 | GND | 0V |
3 | Signal | 0..5V |
4 | N/C | No Connection |
NTC or PTC analog input (variable resistance)
The connection of variable resistance analog sensors must be made with a pullup. The value of this pullup will depend on the resistance of the sensor.
Here, the circuit is provided with values adapted to typical automotive NTC sensors, which have a resistance of 2.7K at 25ºC
.
Number | Function | Range |
---|---|---|
1 | VCC | +5V for the sensor |
2 | GND | 0V |
3 | Signal | 0..5V |
4 | N/C | No Connection |
