Add Pressure Sensor
To add a variable voltage type pressure sensor, it must be added as a General
type input.
In the same way, any type of sensor that has a variable and linear voltage output can be added.
Procedure
Calibration is done in the Options
Settings
menu. Then go to the list of Signals in Calibration
.
Look for the signal that corresponds to the channel where you have connected the pressure sensor. Then drop down the Signal Type from the list and select the General
type.
You must load the voltage values and the corresponding magnitude, in at least two extreme points of the calibration curve. For example the MPX5700 sensor has 0 volts at 0 PSI and 4.8 volts at 101.5 PSI.
Then you will have to add the channel in the Channels
section. There we will designate the signal from where we are reading the signal, the name of the channel, unit and optionally decimal digits and range for changing the colors of the instruments.
Then press OK. Then you will be able to load the channel in the instrument panel, with right click Assign...
and select the channel of the sensor that we have created.
